You know, I always have to chuckle when I see a website that has "freeze pics". I mean...its like any random picture could be a freeze pic. I dunno, I just thought it was funny.

[glow=yellow,2,300] I suppose you could be right but it's all about being in context to the topic. There is a certain form to a freeze picture that tries to "capture" more than the normal random picture.
Just to assume that any run of the mill photo could be a freeze picture takes all the fun away from knowing what a picture really is.
If it were just any pic, I'm sure there wouldn't be such a demand for real freeze pictures. Anyone agree? [/glow]

I agree with the fact that you could possibly pass off just about any picture as a freeze pic if you were so inclined. However, in this instance with the pics in the freeze section here you can clearly tell that this isn't the case. Judging by the look on Jessica's face in the "freeze" shots you can tell it was meant to look like she was taken by surprise when she was frozen. As for the mannequin photos she does a great job of looking like a mannequin.
I would agree with Luna in her assesment. If I thought that the photos were just normal shots I wouldn't have any interest. But given the context and the quality of the pictures and poses it definitely piques my curiosity even more.

I'm in agreement with both KJ and JN. There's been way too many times where I've seen suposed "mannequin" pictures when it just looks like people are just standing there. It takes a little bit more effort to look like you're tyring to be a mannequin. That why I enjoy Jessica's picts, especially the ones in the black dress. You can tell that is definitely trying to look like one...and that's a good thing.

[/glow] Any sighted person can pick up a camera or sketch pad but does that make them a photographer or artist? I think not. The same thing goes for the person standing in front of it. Not as easy as it looks. ;D

In theory, you should take several pics from different angles or with other people or something moving so you can see that the frozen people are frozen.
