This is a space spider movie that I have seen on sci-fi channel a number of times. Not only does it have one of their better plots, but it has stickies for everyone. 1) early in movie, guy and girl get their shirts stuck together by spider silk..great struggling 2) great sticky web scenes..blond stumbles into web strewn trail...totally entangled 3) several cocooning and ensnaring sequences MADDAD

Do you recall the name of the flick or what day and time it was on? Sounds good, perhaps its available on DVD.

The movie he is talking about actually is called 'Arachnid' and ,yes, it is available on DVD. Somewhat decent, it probably ranks as one of the better giant spider movies for those looking for stuck content.

Thought he was referring to the species (arachnid) not the title. Gonna have to check out the video section at Fry's next time I'm down there.

Just make sure you pick up 'ARACHNID' and not 'ARACHNIA'. Both are giant monster movies made in the past few years. The former is low budget SciFi and the other is more like "no budget" SciFi. It has a scene with a female in a spiderweb but it is very poorly done.
One of these days, when I can find the time, I think I might compile a list of the various giant spider movies (at least the ones that I've seen) and rank them by their stuck content since there does appear to be at least some interest in the sub-category of spiderweb stuck.

I've SEEN Arachnia it blew chunks, sort of like one of those 50's B flicks with out the 50's. Had some hope for Arachnophobia too. While Arachnophobia had no stuck scenes it was a pretty good flick. That's another thing about spiders for such tiny critters they pack a venomous punch. Been told by those who supposed to know violin spiders don't exist in California but I've seen them and their handy work. Know a couple people who've been bit while poking around in old tunnels and mine shafts. Check out some first aid and spider bite sites some state that surviving the first 48 hours is a good sign. What you end up with if you're lucky is a scar that looks like a cigarette burn, unlucky you'll loose the limb. Their bite can also cause tissue necrosis (death) commonly associated with flesh eating bacteria but it's NOT the same thing. Here's a pretty good link to one of the better no nonsense spider sites. Kind of funny this one also says that violin spiders aren't found in California. Then why is it that people who show up at emergency rooms suffering from a spider bite from an "unknown" species always end up diagnosed with a bite from the violin spider. A couple years back an elderly lady died after being bitten by a spider in her garage, they went back and actually found one, a brown recluse spider they called it but I prefer to call them violin spiders. It was in the local paper so I know it wasn't a hoax. www.calpoison.org/public/spiders.html#2
