It looks like Scifi is going to be airing the Xtro series in their late night timeslot this week, probably due to the fact that all three were recently released on DVD. Xtro will air Monday night, Xtro II on Tuesday night, and Xtro III on Wednesday night. Now most people that have been around the stuck community for a while probably know that Xtro III has a couple decent stuck scenes in it, the latter of the two being one of the best female-stuck-in-webbing scenes ever filmed. I know I've seen Xtro II but I don't recall any stuck content in it. As far as the original Xtro film, I know I haven't seen it but from what I've been able to gather from various reviews on the 'net there is a lot of slime and at least one scene toward the end where Maryam d'Abo gets cocooned in webbing to nurture a bunch of alien eggs. Has anyone seen the original Xtro to comment on it?

Hmm, the original Xtro movie was a real piece of crap. It's surprising that they ever made two sequels. There was a cocoon scene but it's hard to tell if the female is even still alive as there is no movement or struggling at all.

I haven't seen any of them but plan on picking up a copy of Xtro lll. You make it sound pretty good. By the way what was so bad about the original? Was it because they blew the stuck scenes or the general plot just sucked? Usually its the other way around, the first movie is great and the sequels suck.
I did see a package deal at Fry's Electronics they had all 3 disks but it was expensive, will wait until after Christmas.

The acting, script, effects, and just about everything was bad. Even Roger Corman would've been embarassed to be attached to this film, and he's the king of low-budget shlock. I think it developed a cult following solely because it is so bad, kind of like when you smell something really bad and call your buddy over to so that he can smell just how bad it is.

[
Well for starters it was British.
Kind of know where you're coming from. Out of boredom once watched an English cold war flick involving an over eager American fast frigate captain and a stubborn Soviet submarine commander. According to the author of this sorry presentation Armageddon started over an ASROC gunners inability to understand the difference between, I'm the ONE in command and FIRE ONE. Bit of a stretch here don't you think? Still I often wonder about all the lost stuck potential and the bologna with those 50's B flicks, you know giant ants, crabs and sorry looking aliens, NEVER giant spiders or other natural nature's magnified sticky situations. As I've often said before SCIENCE FICTION, COMEDY, HORROR AND STUCK go together soooo well. Why don't they portray more often?
