Let it be said that I have all 5 FT videos on VHS, as well as a bunch of Guy's other videos, that would probably serve well as a comparison to the new Jessica videos. The video quality now is much higher than the originals. I don't know if it's just a better camera, VHS vs DVD, both...but the images are crystal clear. When the cam passes around Jessica, it's as if she's jumping off the screen. Maybe that's the reason that Jessica is prettier than Monica . This is reason alone to buy the DVDs.
The biggest selling point of the clarity is the viewer's ability to see how well she actually freezes. There are some closeups on her face that will wow you.
ITFv1's first scenario has Jessica freezing in some outdoor settings, as well as in a private movie theater and charming resort-looking lounge. No dialogue, just music. Well done, for the pure freezing aspect. If you don't care why she's freezing, you'll love it. The second, involving the remote, gets more into the non-consentual freezing that we see throughout Linger IV. She does do a number of "regular-I-have-no-idea-time-stopped" freezes, but most scenarios have at least one, if not the only, freeze, be with Jessica's face contorted in horror at the prospect of being stuck forever. Now, I do understand that Linger IV is all slow freezes, and to some, slow freezes should involve an element of fear. I also understand that showing fear is a more difficult acting challenge that Jessica pulls off well. But I have to admit, despite being as sadistic as the next guy, I would have liked to see at least one "It feels pretty good to be slowly freezing" scene. There was a particularly hot scene where she took a pill because she knew it would turn her into a mannequin, and she posed that way on purpose. It was kind of strange to then have her afraid of turning into a mannequin. Oh, well, maybe next video. Still hot, though.
So, if you like freezes, get the first. If you like slow freezes, get the second. And there's a tiny bit of glue action for the crossover fans. I'll leave the review of Linger V to someone else.
One final thought...Jessica basically goes through most of the wardrobe on her site in the videos. I have to say, however, that I always thought she looked good in her black dress. In the video, though, she looked incredible in it! I'm guessing it's the video quality/closeups combo, but wow!
Take care all---Steele
ps...ITFv1 has "In the Waiting Line" as the opening song. Not sure who chose it, but good choice! There's no better "chill out" trip-hop song.
