Hyponis, really if you think about it is nothing more than a study in psychology. It is a means of tricking the conscious mind into thinking through set filters that you activate by assinging triggers which the mind will react to. Alot of folks through the years have believed there to be a magic associated with hypnotic trance but there is no magic involved. We all have triggers that we respond to every single one of us has reactions to words, situations, sights smells tastes etc. Take for instance the word death. Just that word alone can cause the muscles to tense the heart rate to go up. A sence of anxiety and fear of the future all from the simple uitterence of a single word. With hypnosis we're merely expanding on already set up triggers assosiating different psysiological reactions with predetermined words. A trigger is nothing more than a suggestion and when it 'takes' that's merely the subject agreeing that the said suggestions is possible. Fr instance if I had someone induced and I suggested that whenever I said the word stuck their feet would be stuck to the floor if they agree to this their body will react in a way which allows their reality to be altered. They won't really be stuck to the floor but their muscles will tense so that movement becomes impossible in some instances until the trigger which free's them is spoken. Same with freeze Hypnosis is in alot of ways nothing more than consentual manipulation. It's alot of fun if you get the chance to work with a willing mind
Another fun activity I like to do is a form of hypnosis that requires no trance. I call it subtle suggestion. It basically is a way of disctracting the mind giving it a thought or an idea to wrap around and thuis the idea which can somewhat be thought of as silly or impossible becomes true. For instance did you know that the bridge of your nose was beginning to itch?
Not everyone can do hypnosis some folks are a bit too skeptical to allow their minds to be led thus making the idea of psychological suggestion almost impossible. Almost any brain can be trained though but only the most wiling can exprience true hypnosis.
The one thing I've always wondered is abput past life regression. Is this a real phenomenon or is it simply the mind being manipulated into creating it';s own imagined memories. I don't know if we'll ever really know the answer to that question but it remains fascinating to me.. The spiritual side of me wishes to believe in it's possibility the skeptic in me says it's just a trick. In this world of non-absolutes I don't think any real answer exsists
