Does the Hollywood Wax Museum still exist? Do performers dressed in period costumes still pretend to be wax figures and mess with the tourists?
It’s been a LONG since I’ve been in the area but still remember people’s reactions; Japanese tourists seemed particularly jazzed by them. Always thought it was fascinating the amount of patients andbody control required must be incredible.

Wow, that sounds absolutely amazing.
Unfortunately, I never seem to see anything like that in my area. Heck, even a living mannequin or two would be nice, once in a while, but nothing!
I'll be sure to Google it, and report back if I find anything.

For anyone interested, here is the website for the Hollywood Wax Museum: www.hollywoodwax.com/It appears they have locations in both Hollywood and Branson, Missouri. Some of you in the Midwest might even be close enough to visit. I'll post more info if I find it. --Silverrain

That was sort of a dumb question I didn't do a search on the topic until this afternoon. Good to know the place is still there. Haven't been to the Hollywood area since the 80's.
Always figured that the place went under. Had a brother who lived in the area for a while. Don't know if they still do that but like I said it was freaky.
One time this Japanese lady wanted her old man to take her picture standing by this dude who looked sort of like Sherlock Holmes. Just as her old man went to snap the picture the man stepped back, the lady nearly jumped out of her skin. She couldn't believe the man wasn't made from wax.
The neighborhood is not that great but the area is full of local history. Hey some of the locals are pretty entertaining too.

Not a problem. I enjoyed searching for information on it. It sounds like an interesting place to visit. If I ever get out to California, I'll be sure to visit it... Right after a one-on-one session with Jessica, of course. --Silverrain

Dude I guarantee you’ll like California, we have everything, mountains, the desert, farmlands of the central valley and yes the beautiful beaches and don’t forget the women. ;D
I never knew they had a Hollywood Wax Museum in Branson but from what I hear from my bro who by the way is a profession musician the silver dollar city rocks.
He’s been there a few times for the bluegrass festival held every spring. But I don’t think that they party as hardy as Californians, you haven’t partied unless you’ve tossed dishes from the top story of the Roosevelt Hotel at 3 in the morning. ;D I don’t recommend doing that though unless you want to spend a few nights in LA central.
